Introducing Jon’s new organic bamboo spork (a spoon and fork combined). He takes it with him every day and whenever he is eating out. When the only option is plastic cutlery then he whips out his organic bamboo spork and starts munching away! Small, lightweight and made of bamboo, a good way to help reduce your plastic waste when eating.
Cutlery set with chopsticks and straw
Both Ludo and Jon were very lucky this year to receive a whole set of cutlery. The set includes a bamboo fork, knife, spoon, chopsticks and straw. Also with a rather smart brush to clean your straw after drinking. It comes in an easily fastened cloth cover making it very handy to carry around. It’s ideal for when you are out and about in London to perhaps put in your jacket pocket or bag. Of course if you don’t have space to carry a whole set then the spork in the perfect alternative.
The reason why these products are made from bamboo is considered to be a very sustainable crop. It is a fast growing grass, requires no fertiliser and self-regenerates from its own roots. Therefore, it doesn’t need to be replanted. When compared to cotton cultivation, which requires large amounts of water, pesticides and labour, the advantages are pretty clear.
