with Jon and Ludo at Eco Around – getting involved with the Big Climate Fightback.

What is Eco Around and what is the Big Climate Fightback?

A community-based social enterprise in London helping everyday people, like you, become more eco-friendly.

The Big Climate Fightback is a campaign (through the Woodland Trust) to get one million people to join the fight against climate change by pledging to plant a tree by Saturday 30 November 2019.

What are we doing?

A Tree Planting Day organized by Friends Of Higham Hill Park, they provide all the trees and land to plant on.

Planting starts at 11 am on Saturday 30th November

Higham Hill Park, 313 Billet Rd, Walthamstow, London E17 5PX

Meeting point

10.15 am at Blackhorse Road tube station (Victoria Line), London

How do I sign up?

Ask Jon or Ludo to put your name down on their list, we are looking to get at least 20 people to come with us. Please email them at

After the event

Thanks to Friends of Higham Hill Park for this great opportunity to plant lots of hedgerow saplings (225 in total!) and to all of our friends who joined us.

We were very lucky with the sunny weather!

It’s lovely being outdoors even during winter time and go along together working with the local community.

Small actions count.

Every 🌳counts.

Looking forward to the next tree-planting event 🙂
